3 questions about weight training

I have 3 questions;

1) During a workout how many sets and reps are effective for deadlift for strength training, is 3 sets of 5 reps good enough?

 

2) I just did 3 sets of 5 reps of bench press today. I upped the weight a bit each set and completed all sets and reps successfully but didn't feel the burn or anything on the chest muscles. Is this normal, did it still working effectively?

 

3) Is it more effective to do shoulder press seated or standing?
