  2. Protein shakes?

    Hey, I have started exercising at home with some free weights and was wondering if protein shakes would help me to tone up a bit. I exercise 6 days a week with 2 days on biceps/back, 2 on triceps/chest and 2 on legs/shoulders. I do pretty much all of my exercise with 2 dumbbells (currently at 10kg a piece) and overall my workout lasts about an hour a day. This also includes my daily warm-up/cool-down and I do some sit-ups, press-ups, plank etc. to increase my core strength. I am a novice and pretty low key in my ambitions, I don't want to end up being a bodybuilder or anything but would like to increase my weight from about 64kg at the moment to about 70kg in the foreseeable future. I was wondering if protein shakes would be appropriate to help me gain this weight or whether it would be overkill for my situation? Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated!   4. Gym Clothing - What should i buy?

    Hey Everyone! I am in the process of organising a gym membership and could use some advice on a selection of clothing to purchase or whether I actually need to purchase any clothing. Any links to any good value gym clothing or a list of possible clothing items to purchase to make the gym experience a little easier would be amazing!   5. If you keep balancing your diet in a proper manner, then you can be fit and healthy and in an effective shape. But if you do not take proper care of your body, then you might the gain weight. To be in a good shape one wants to follow a healthy diet plan. Weight loss is necessary when a person becomes so in good health that it begins affecting his or her body with several diseases. Many of the females are quite aware of their looks their appearance to the outer world. Females always want people to compliment them about their looks. A wrong compliment can lead a big tragedy. Jokes apart, but yes, do not try it you might not know the consequences though. Anyway, a woman being so aware of their weight straight away starts dieting for losing weight. Many of them go to dieticians for good and healthy tips to make them healthy and fit. Wasting so much money out there will not work out. Many people have some serious health problems regarding heavy weight. Such people should go and seek advice from their physicians for that purpose. Some of the mistakes mentioned are which people face. Eating mistake - We always include ourselves with foods. Eating foods 24 hours can obviously cause us to become fat and healthy. And in that process, we might consume some harmful foods too, such as junk foods, potato chips, which contain lots of fats and unhealthy content. There is not anything like good fats. Fats are never excellent for health. The only work they do is making your whole body heavier day by day. People take the support of phrases like,” The meals I am consuming provides excellent fat in it”, but actually all the fatties are just bad for a person’s health. Even the liquids we drink bring a lot of calories in it. Not all of them, but yes, some particular beverages that we drink. So select your beverage properly before drinking it. Many people are aware about their weight, their look and their health. They can spend a lot of money too. Physicians who simply want to make money recommend people to undergo, through certain surgeries. Do not forget they might carry certain negative reactions. They could be dangerous for some people. Before understanding the body type, the illnesses which a person is facing and mainly before talking to a good doctor do not go for any such a surgery as it costs a lot of money and can prove a person to be ill and vulnerable to certain diseases.
  6. I am training for a tough mudder and so im doing a 1 hour workout every day and running every other day. I notice that I am more likely to stick to my plan when workouts/runs are in the morning, at the moment i do one in the morning and one in the evening, however it would be better for me to do them both in the morning. I am usually a little tired and hungry after my morning run, and usually go straight for breakfast afterwards. im worried that I wont have the stamina to run and workout before breakfast, and I don't think I should be eating beforehand as this will make it harder to run and work out. Can anyone help me figure out the best way in which i can do both in the mornings? - Connor

    Hi guys. I'm new to this forum, and I need a bit of help. I can't seem to shift this fat on my stomach, and sides. I lift weights, and do a bit of cardio. My diet consists of the usual stuff. Protein shake, eggs, chicken, fish, veg. Etc can you guys give me some advice on how to get rid of this fat? Should I do more weights or cardio? Should I add other stuff to my diet? cheers! 😁

At present, I am currently conducting a piece of research examining the motives underpinning exercise participation among men. I am in need of participants to take part in this research.   10. Why aren't I losing weight?

    I know it's only been two weeks, but I have been eating really well and going to the gym/classes 3/4 times a week but I feel fatter and more bloated than ever. When can I expect to see results? I want to lose a stone and a half of fat and tone up and build muscle.
