Treadmill lubricant

1 post in this topic

Hi people

Just joined as I have an issue with my York t202 treadmill. It was well overdue some lube so today I purchased some WD40 Silicone spray. I sprayed a little on and the treadmill ran worse. If I ran it at the lowest speed and stood on it it would practically stop. I thought maybe the belt was very dry so gave it a healthy dose. Still the same. It was quite smooth before using this spray. Now when I stop the treadmill and I am on it it comes to an abrupt stop. Friction. It used to stop very gradually.

So my question is I am probably going to have to remove the belt and remove this so called lubricant. What should I clean it off with? If anything.

Thx Byron
